1. What position are you running for?	King County Superior Court, Position #14

2. Why do you think Hispanics should know about the position you are running for?	Judges are the stewards of our justice system. Therefore, a successful jurist must possess integrity to put aside personal bias; the intellectual capacity to interpret and apply the law; and enough understanding of human nature to deliver justice with compassion. This is the type of judge which I strive to and aspire to be every day.
3. Why are you running for this position?	I am running because I have the legal and life experiences required to: (1) competently interpret and apply the law; (2) enhance the breadth and depth of the current bench, and (3) the passion to help the court improve its ability to provide access to the legal system to King County’s poor, middle class and disenfranchised citizens.
4. For the Hispanic community, what do you view to be the most important agenda items you will take action on if you get elected?	Appropriate access to legal services remains the most significant barrier between communities of color and the legal system. I have also passionately focused on legal and community programs which emphasized the need to address access to justice barriers within the legal community. I will continue my work in these areas as a member of the King County Superior Court bench.
5. Any additional message you wish to share with the Hispanic Voter?	I am exceptionally well qualified to become a King County Superior Court Judge. I have almost 20 years of experience in the law, eight years as an Administrative Law Judge and over 11 years as a trial attorney. I have experience in the public sector (as both a prosecutor and defense attorney) and the private sector (as a criminal defense, family law and civil litigation attorney). Additionally, since 2012 I have served as a King County District Court Pro Tem Judge.
5. Tiene algun mensaje especial que desee compartir con los votantes Hispanos?	Estoy excepcionalmente bien calificado para convertirme en un Juez de la Corte Superior del Condado de King. Tengo casi 20 años de experiencia en la ley, ocho años como un juez de derecho administrativo y de más de 11 años como abogado. Tengo experiencia en el sector público (como el fiscal y el abogado defensor) y el sector privado (como una defensa penal, derecho de familia y abogado de litigio civil). Además, desde 2012 he servido como un Juez Pro Tem del Tribunal de Distrito del Condado King .
